Stainless steel 309/309S bolts are made primarily of chromium (23-26%) and nickel (13-17%), providing excellent oxidation resistance and strength at high temperatures. They have excellent corrosion resistance and, for thermal expansion, up to 1,100°C (2). Mechanical properties ideal for environments up to 012°F) include high tensile strength and creep resistance.
